Chinh N. H. LA - Biography


 

Graduated as one of the two top High Distinction students from Le Hong Phong High School (Vietnam - 1997), Chinh La was offered an Australian Development Scholarship to study in Australia. He then received the B. Eng. (with Honours) in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia - 2003).

 

Since 2004, he has been a graduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign under the VEF Fellowship from the U.S. Government. His interest fields include signal processing, algorithms and systems development, computer programming and embedded systems. He currently works on inverse problems in compress sensing.

 

He received the IEE Prize from the Institution of Electrical Engineers (2002) and the Graham Beard Memorial Prize from Monash University (2003).
