Title: Survey Talk: "On Directed Information and Feedback Information Theory"

Speaker:Siva kumar Gorantla

Abstract:

Feedback helps in boosting the reliability and reducing the complexity of communication systems. But feedback Information theory is not just communication centric. It has applications in various scenarios including neuroscience, decentralized control and sigma-delta quantization with a unifying theme of maximizing directed information. the role of directed information in feedback information theory along with a varied set of examples are discussed in this talk.

Speaker Bio

Siva kumar Gorantla is currently pursuing his Masters. in Electrical and Computer Engineering under the guidance of Prof. Todd Coleman. His interests is in the field of Communication and Information Theory. He obtained his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2007.
